Victorian Tiled Fireplace
Victorian cast iron fireplace with half-fluted columns terminating in decorative capitals at the top and in a panel of dog roses and blackberries at the bottom. The frieze has a cartouche flowing with blackberries and brambles. An unusual tiled version of this fireplace which is normally all cast iron.
In excellent condition. From a house in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne. Circa 1896.
