Victorian Cast Iron Insert
A fantastic early Victorian cast iron insert made by the Carron foundry. Incredible, skilled workmanship in the detail.
In excellent condition. From a house in Newcastle upon Tyne. Circa 1840.
The openings dimensions are the main section of fire back the protrudes from the rear of the fireplace, in addition to this, there are four bolts that hold the fire back on which are 31″ wide x 1½” deep.
