Slabbed Slate Hearth
This 54 x 18 x 2 slabbed slate hearth is suitable for use solid fuel fires, slabbed slate tongues are available for an additional £75. They are boxed and lipped and meet Building Regulations minimum for most fireplace applications.
Slate hearths have a matt black finish and need to be sealed with slate oil. They are not as hard wearing as granite as they scratch/chip more easily.
