Early Victorian Cast Iron Grate
Unique Victorian circular cast iron fireplace, believed to have been made for the ‘Great Exhibition’ in 1851.
The whole front is hinged and can be pulled forward to enable easy access for cleaning the ash and to facilitate sweeping the chimney.
It is a beautiful work of art being a full 360 degree circle with exquisite lattice detailing and floral and foliage detail around the edge and on the chimney flap.
In excellent condition. From a house in Sheffield.
