Original Arts & Crafts Fireplace Tiled Insert
Arts & Crafts tiled insert with a strong Japanese influence. The frieze which has a maze pattern with a half circle design which is reflected in the tiles. Typical of the Thomas Jeckyll design. The flowers and bamboo shoots are repeated in both the tiles and fireplace and the fire opening corners have an unusual fret work design.
Fireplace in excellent condition and the tiles in good condition. Some stains and cracks as shown but still fabulous set of tiles.
Price includes tiles and new back and grate. From a house in St. Asaph, North Wales.
